Facial Hair Removal Devices Review

Facial Hair Removal Devices

I love Dermaplaning but I find that getting to my Esthetician once a month just doesn’t always seem to happen. At this stage in my life, I find I need to exfoliate a lot more than I did even 10 years ago. Here are reviews of 2 products that can help solve both of these beauty dilemmas…

Dermaflash Reviews

Product Details

Dermaflash:  An innovative facial exfoliating device that also removes all the fine baby (vellus) hair from your face. It was inspired by the professional service called Dermaplaning.

Cost:  $189 with renewing cost of about $39 every 6 weeks for Prep cleanser and Soothe Hydrator and 6 new blades (they call them Edges).

Reduces fine lines

Less painful than waxing

Takes on 5-10 minutes once a week

Exfoliates dead skin

Removes baby hairs and makes skin super smooth

Some women have reporting charging (the unit) issues. The company recommends fully charging before first use.

Blades are single use so you need to purchase about every 6 weeks

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

My professional opinion of this unit? If you love that smooth “just derma-planed feel” that makes your foundation smooth as silk, this unit may be for you. It is certainly not cheap but neither is Dermaplaning with an Esthetician every month.

Review of the Braun Silk Epil 9 Wet&dry Epilator & Exfoliation System 9-961 Skin Spa

Product Details

Braun Silk: This device has a sonic exfoliating brush and is the new standard for epilation with a wider head for faster hair removal.

Cost: $179.95

Exfoliation is 4 times better than a manual treatment alone due to massaging micro vibrations.

Removes hair 4 times shorter than wax

No replacement blades needed

Can be used on the body also

Like anything that is removing hair, it takes a bit of getting used to. This one is relatively discomfort free.

Rating: 4.8 out of 5 Stars

My professional opinion of this unit? I like this unit because of the ease of use due to the size of the head. This is a trusted brand that has been around for a long time. One of the main advantages for me is that you don’t need to purchase blades or a special cleaner or moisturizer.

I read with interest the pros and cons of the Braun Silk Epil 9 system.

I used to have an older model of Braun (not a wet and dry) and was happy with it. I’m glad to see they are progressive with updating the technology for better and faster hair removal.

Definitely agree that not needing to purchase blades or cleansers is a big plus with this product. The fact that it is a wet and dry system is also a big plus.

I visited the product link and noticed that the product has several 5 star reviews. As you say, it is a trusted brand.

Thank you for presenting this useful information.
